Simone

In celebration of Women’s History Month, I’m proud to present, “Simone”, a beautiful song composed by Binnie Klein (aka In These Trees), about French existentialist and philosopher, Simone de Beauvoir.
It’s an honor and thrill to be the producer, arranger, guitarist, bassist, background vocalist and co-composer on “Simone” and to witness Binnie’s beautiful and insightful lyric come to musical life with each beautifully played instrument being added.
Sarah Fimm gives a stunning and goosebump worthy vocal performance that truly brings the spirit of Simone to life.
Anne de Wolff beautifully layers violin, viola, cello, accordion and backing vocals, providing the intricate and emotional dynamics that were crucial in making the production work.
Marc S

Marc Slutsky provides the percussion that bring the dynamics and emotion of the song to the next level.
All the musical elements then needed to be carefully and creatively mixed and Ken Rich is the only person that I trust to mix this kind of dynamic arrangement in a truly musical and emotionally fashion.
The icing on the cake is the incredible mastering of Fred Kevorkian and he knocked it out of the park as always.
Thank you, so very much to Binnie Klein for allowing and trusting me to produce Simone and for such a positive and inspiring collaboration. Here’s to many more! 🙏💖✌️
